sahm + permantier Interior Textile Design - Germany

Since 1997 Babette Permantier and Petra Sahm are working together as a design team for interior textile developments . Their main focus are textiles with an Asian production background.
Traditional and innovative techniques such as weaving, embroidery and prints are translated to trend-orientated, contemporary collections.
Affected by natural material and traditional hand looms they started in 2001 their own interior textile brand LOTUS COLLECTION in Nepal .
The hand-knotted carpets, cushions, bedcovers and table linen of this collection are all made with a traditional hand-spun nettle fiber from the Himalayas .
A wide experience of designing related to production and also marketing enriches sahm+permantier's forecasts and trend consultancy.
They have been invited to trend seminars in India and Germany. In 2003 they styled a pavilion at the trend presentation on Heimtextil in Frankfurt.
In collaboration with other design teams creative inspiration is evolved into exhibition, presentation and graphic design for different lifestyle products. In 2004 sahm+permantier developed also an image
campaign for Nepalese Tea.
